I have been using QuickBooks since 1996 and unfortunately, the support is getting worse and the price is more expensive. This leads me to believe that the problem is QuickBooks NOT Thunderbird. If I email that same invoice later, then it goes as plain text.

However, If I email an individual invoice now from QuickBooks by using Thunderbird it DOES go through as HTML. Even though I was asking where the 'plain text' option was, I again was told that Thunderbird Version 60 (from 2018) or less will send emails in HTML format and it is not an issue with Quickbooks but Thunderbird. A couple of days later I called support and went through the whole thing again. As I was checking something out, the chat was ended. That could be true but that wasn't my initial question - which was 'where is the plain text option'. Their response is that Thunderbird doesn't support HTML. They asked what I was trying to do so I told them. It is flexible, responsive, and feature-rich.

Contacted support through chat and asked them where is this option. Thunderbird by Mozilla is a free email client that you can use to manage several email accounts from one desktop. Sound easy, went to the preferences of Send Email and to my surprise, there is NO 'plain text' option. At the bottom of the list on the left, click Account Actions.

Select Account Settings from the Tools menu. Open Mozilla Thunderbird on your Mac or Windows PC.
